Job Title: Head of Off-shore Acquisition - South East
Description
Our client is a publically quoted multi national geophysical services company. We are now looking for a group head of off-shore acquisition. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for group wide marine operations including vessel management and all 3rd party contracts. This role has considerable head-room for career growth and presents an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the development and direction of this successful company.
 
Responsibilities
  • Full P&L responsibility for marine operations
  • Participate and contribute to corporate development through senior management, BD and strategic meetings Compile & Develop annual business plan and budgets for marine operations
  • Monitor profitability and introduce procedures to improve profitability where practical
  • HR responsibility for divisional staff (training, review and effective utilization)
  • Monitor and improve client communication and contribute to and recommend marketing initiatives.
  • Evaluate seismic equipment, implement budgets for upgrades and procedures for monitoring effective utilization Implement remedial plans for equipment malfunctions, and provide regular statistics
  • QC bids and proposals, and ensure HSE procedures are implemented and adhered to industry standards.
 
Requirements
 
Ideally degree educated with a minimum of 15 years experience within the geophysical industry, with exposure to a wide variety of seismic data and geophysical techniques. Good communication skills with a positive attitude to problem solving including the implementation of contemporary business practices. Thorough business and financial awareness. EU work permit holder.
