Brief client details: Our client is an independent oil company with a growing number of interests focussed on exploration and development within the UK North Sea.The client has sound financial backing from a variety of investors and, looking forwards, it is funded through its current exploration,development and business development opportunities.
Here's what they are looking for you to do:
You will be working with the existing technical team (and outsourced partners) on a variety of projects from exploration through to production within a variety of technical functions. The company mandate is to add new high quality acreage along with the evaluation of existing acreage to define drilling opportunities. The position involves frequent working on multiple, concurrent projects with short deadlines offering exposure to a wide range of play types, structural regimes and business models.
Job requirements and qualifications:
The client is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual with a demonstrated track record exhibiting flexibility, working to tight deadlines and making a difference. You will have well developed team working skills and be able to work on a variety of projects, making use of appropriate technology.
The successful candidate will have a good education with a bias towards maths/science and a degree in earth sciences is desirable.
The Projects
Providing support to the technical and management teams in the following:
Document and presentation preparation
Data QC
Production data management
Drilling data management
Technical data management
Well data and seismic data loading
An aptitude and interest in technical software is essential.
You will probably have experience of working as a Technical Assistant with an oil & gas operator already and be looking for a Technical Assistant position with more responsibility where what you do will make a difference. Also you will probably have strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel. |
