Climate change is now widely accepted as the largest long-term environmental problem facing humanity and its major cause is carbon dioxide emissions from energy use. A not-for-profit organisation formed in 1992, we've rapidly become a leading figure in the fight to address climate change. Our aim is to promote sustainable energy, while reducing consumption and carbon emissions in the domestic and transport sectors throughout the UK. Join us and you'll change more than just your job.
In this important role you will have two key agendas. Firstly, operating at a senior level, you¿ll help our London advice centre to provide advice and support to householders in London on reducing their carbon dioxide emissions, implement our strategy and develop and deliver robust work plans in sustainable energy, water and waste consumption.
Secondly, you¿ll represent the Energy Saving Trust at a senior strategic level across London, forging partnerships with all key stakeholders, helping to ensure that the efforts of all involved are co-ordinated and optimised. At all times, throughout your role you will ensure that our teams deliver strategic objectives and develop and implement new ways of saving consumer energy in the home.
Highly motivated and customer focused, with a strong track record of achievement in the sustainable energy sector, you¿ll thrive here. You're financially and commercially aware, and you can translate organisational priorities into strategic plans. You understand local government policy and the issues involved in promoting sustainable energy to the public as well as a good understanding of the political landscape in London. In addition, you have experience of managing teams, contractual relationships and driving change in a multi-stakeholder environment.
