Taking the lead in influencing public policy on energy efficiency, fuel bills, micro-generation, low carbon transport, waste and water is no easy task. Particularly when you are working across two devolved administrations. But that's the challenge that awaits you in this key outward facing role. Our voice for policy and strategy issues for Scotland and Northern Ireland, you'll carry out detailed analysis and manage research projects, support business development activities and develop strategy and business planning for both.
Your understanding of devolved issues in Governments (particularly Scottish Government) and Energy Saving Trust activities are key to your success with us. You will be an effective project manager who interacts well with colleagues and stakeholders. Technical expertise that embraces energy efficiency, renewables and low carbon transport is also essential, as is the ability to develop robust policy proposals. A convincing public speaker, you will have an in-depth knowledge of devolved policy and be able to communicate the complex in easy to understand terms. You will also enjoy leading initiatives whilst working to deadlines and thrive in a multi-discipline team environment.
The Energy Saving Trust is working for a low carbon future. Our mission is to help everybody in the UK to save energy in their homes, their travel and their lifestyles to meet challenging emission reduction targets.
