Senior Nuclear Safety Consultants
Responsibilities
Preparation of Safety Cases for decommissioning civil nuclear power stations
Review and comment on Civil Nuclear Safety Cases
Preparation of Safety Cases for Nuclear Submarine Power Plant (all classes)
Independent Technical Assessment / Independent Peer Review of designs and substantiations in support of nuclear facilities
Leading HAZOP/HAZID meetings
Business development
Hazard Analysis of nuclear plant/facilities
Reliability and Availability assessments of nuclear systems/plant
Essential Qualifications
Degree or higher degree
Vocational / professional qualifications
Membership of a relevant society is desirable
Experience of some or all of the following
The applicant has knowledge of:
Hazard Identification (HAZOP, HAZID, FMEA)
Radiological consequence analysis
Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA)
Risk Assessment
Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) and ALARP studies
Safety Case Support/Writing
Peer Review/Independent Nuclear Safety Assessment (INSA)
Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) studies
