OpenHydro has established a Site Development business unit with the specific purpose of securing sites for the development of tidal farms. OpenHydro will achieve this through self development or through partnering / joint venturing with other parties.
Scope of position
• Lead the Site Development team on a global basis to deliver consented tidal farms ready for construction.
Main duties and responsibilities
• Manage the site development activity as a self contained business unit with related budget.
•Manage and develop the site development team in all geographic locations.
• Develop business plan for the site development business unit in conjunction with CFO.
• Source site development opportunities (direct development and joint venture).
• Screen and filter incoming opportunities.
• Develop an NPV and risk based approach to site development.
• Deliver consented tidal farms sites ready for build and operation.
Requirements – essential skills / attributes
• Minimum 10 years experience with a minimum of 3 years in a site development management position.
• Site development experience in multiple jurisdictions within Renewable (wind or marine).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong team building and project management skills.
• Financially literate (wind farm economics).
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Practical approach to work.
Desirable experience
• Knowledge of the key risk factors / value creation opportunities for site development.
• Knowledge of renewable energy industry. |
