Our expanding Engineering department are looking for an Electrical Engineer to be based at either our Cumbria or Durham office.
The main duties include:
Support company's Project Managers with the following activities:
a. Wind Farm installation specifications for tendering the works
b. Grid Connection installation specifications for tendering the works
c. Reviewing tender returns and making recommendations
d. Managing the contractors design works and reviewing design reports
e. Managing the contractors equipment procuring works and reviewing equipment proposals
f. Managing the contractors installation works and attending works progress meetings
g. Witnessing FAT’s and on-site commissioning and reviewing test results
h. Appointing meter operators
i. Pre-energisation inspection of the works Support company's electrical engineers with the following activities:
j. Wind Farm grid connection applications
k. Grid connection offer reviews & acceptance
l. NGET Bilateral Connection Agreement applications
m. DNO connection compliance requirements
n. NGET connection compliance requirements Support company's due diligence team with the following activities:
o. Review of wind turbine supply agreements
p. Review of wind farm project electrical compliance requirements
q. Review of electrical contracts
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and/or chartered status (Wind Farm experience preferred but not essential).
