Owing to continued growth and high demand for its services, the company is now seeking to recruit a Civil CAD draughtsman to join our expanding team.
Job description
The principal responsibilities of this post include:
- Support renewable project developments, providing accurate layout and detail drawings at various points from feasibility and design to implementation and commissioning.
- Review and prepare technical documents including specifications, reports and drawings, against customer requirements.
- Provide on-site monitoring of civil construction works for renewable energy developments.
- Attending site meetings and surveys.
- Provide technical support to clients.
- Other ad hoc project activities as and when required.
Essential criteria
- Skilled in the use of AutoCAD.
- Significant experience in civil/structural engineering.
- Experience in the renewable energy industry would be desirable but not essential.
- Can clearly demonstrate technical competence, ability to use own initiative, and to work flexibly
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Competent PC user.
The successful candidate will be required to produce layout and detail drawings for clients and so attention to detail, reliability and good organisational skills are paramount.
You should have excellent communication skills, coupled with a flexible and proactive approach to work to thrive in this busy team.
An interest in renewable energy and/or sustainability is desirable. The company is growing rapidly and offers excellent long-term career prospects.
- Hours: 37 hours per week.
- Holidays: 23 days (rising to 25 days after 2 years’ service) and 9 public holidays
