The Group is also developing CO2 capture processes that could lead to commercial scale in the medium term.
Main duties and responsibilities:
My client in Derby is looking for a Combustion Engineer for engineered boiler solutions, including low NOx burners, biomass co-firing, boiler control systems and plant upgrades, for utility and industrial boilers
The Combustion Engineer works as part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers and the responsibilities include concept definition and scheme design, through to overseeing detailed design, plus some aspects of manufacture, assembly, installation, test and commissioning.

Essential criteria:
Essentially the successful candidate should demonstrate:-
• professional engineering knowledge gained through experience or education to degree level or equivalent
• significant combustion design experience within our industry.
• hands-on engineering design ability
• ability to develop bespoke to solutions to the customer's original requirements.
• a full driving licence, ideally with no current penalty endorsements
• good written and verbal communication skills.
• ability to work unsupervised and also to make a major contribution to the success of the project teams
• ability to travel overseas and work away from the office
