You would be working with a company that is the world leader in integrated power plant, in power production services and air quality control systems. My client works with all energy forms such as: coal, gas, nuclear, fuel-oil, hydropower, wind and is a leader in environmental protection (reduction of CO2 emissions, reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions). The Group is also developing CO2 capture processes that could lead to commercial scale in the medium term.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The gas turbine service function is responsible for the overhaul, repair and maintenance of gas turbines on customers' sites in the UK and overseas. We currently have a number of sites with Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contracts of diverse types and sizes with permanent O&M staff working full time in coordination with the client's operations staff.
Main duties will include:
• managing relationships with a range of stakeholders including other businesses, ensuring conflicts are resolved to support on time and quality delivery to the customer's specification
• providing input for the strategic development of operations group to support future commercial success
• proactively managing the long term relationship with a number of customer groupings, prioritising activity as required to ensure overall delivery in line with the customer's requirement
• Actively manage and participate in Project Management including the day-to-day activity for the O&M contracts.
• developing and securing approval for the O&M contract plans and managing the change control procedure during the lifecycle of the project
• ensuring compliance with the agreed terms and conditions for the O&M contracts to ensure that company obligations are effectively delivered
• identifying and assessing O&M contracts risks; developing and implementing action plans to mitigate these to ensure success of the contract
• managing, monitoring and reporting of costs, resources and cash management; implementing corrective actions where required to ensure that targeted margin and cash flow are delivered
• identifying and converting opportunities for additional O&M and associated business
Desirable criteria: Candidates should be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline; have knowledge of gas turbine power station operation and maintenance activities; have sound experience of contract management and leadership in a project management environment; have knowledge of legal contractual issues; have man management experience; be customer focused; be IT literate, hold a valid UK driving licence and possess excellent negotiating, decision making and relationship building skills.
